About this experience

In the warehouse.

The tour of the stillhouse is the same everywhere. The warehouse is where it gets interesting: dark, cool, smelling of wood and the sea, with casks from a dozen different years.

Some Islay distilleries offer private warehouse sessionsverify: a valinch drawn from several casks, with the warehouse manager or a guide who knows the spirit. We arrange them, and the driver.

A morning at one distillery, lunch at a harbour, an afternoon walk on a beach. One warehouse a day is plenty.

Jura is ten minutes across the sound, with its own distillery and very few people. We add it for a night if you have one.
